I grew up surrounded by a practical world of music and am intensely tied to the past in many ways. Always I was known for my improvisational ability in an intimate atmosphere or inspired in poetry and painting. That's why my music is often enigmatic and personal and my compositions are often the result of these two arts combined, words and colours. In addition to the overall expression I explore both resonance and silence as well as the expressive range of the piano, either under the form of pure music or descriptive musical scenes of open spaces.
My music is typical for the time, full of melody and with direct appeal to my audience, sometimes in just a few lines of music with my concern for sound and its abstract meaning.
It's known that an author writes his music to be played by other musicians anytime, anywhere. However, I never write music, not even a single line. All my pieces are improvised, even those where piano appears integrated in an orchestral environment. Which means that my music can never be played by anyone, not even by me. Listening to any piece of my music means a journey through a unique moment of inspiration that will never return. Improvising is the art of ephemeral.
My pieces explore the full range of the instruments in a kind of musical poetry. In this mixing of poetical and musical ideals, I could be a true Romantic, although my preferences go to the French impressionists of the last quarter of the XIX century. Both my performances and recorded music reflect this tendency.
The clarity of the rich melodic and harmonic language and the lyrical tendencies of my style found a new and intriguing expression somehow distant from the academic concepts of form. I call myself a musician of the current times making music for people of these times. There is no ambition to create a new language, to leave a new light for the upcoming composers. On the contrary, I want exclusively to touch people's hearts and emotions, making music listening a supreme form of true happiness and interior improvement.
